Lifting a Pal in Palworld

Yes, we get it, Palworld is in Early Access and a bit on the janky side. But with millions of people playing it, not everyone has figured out how to assign individual roles to their Pals yet. So, let’s dive into this quirky mechanic and find out how to make your Pals work for you.

How to Assign a Job to a Pal

In order to get your Pal to concentrate on a specific task instead of aimlessly wandering around, you need to assign it a place of work by…wait for it…throwing it at it. I’m not kidding!

When you get close to a Pal, a contextual menu will appear (it’s the F key on the keyboard). This command will lift the Pal. So go ahead, pick it up, and carry it to where you want it to work. Let’s say, for example, your new ranch. Press the button again, and you’ll hurl the Pal into the distance. If all goes according to plan, the Pal will start working on the job it’s closest to. Just be aware that if there are a couple of potentials nearby, it’s a bit of a lottery as to what it will do.

We can assume that if Palworld, in all its glory, receives any updates in the coming weeks, we can expect this mechanic to either be tidied up or changed completely. But for now, embrace the madness and toss your Pal all the way to their new job. Have fun!
