Apple’s Pro Stand for Pro Display XDR Sold Out in the U.S.

If you’ve been eyeing Apple’s high-end Pro Display XDR monitor, you may be out of luck when it comes to purchasing the optional Pro Stand. According to a report by 9to5Mac’s Zac Hall, the Pro Stand is currently sold out on Apple’s online store in the U.S. While it’s unclear if or when the $999 stand will be back in stock, some speculate that this may hint at an upcoming refresh to the Pro Display XDR, which was released in December 2019.

But don’t fret just yet! The stand is still available on Apple’s online store in some other countries, such as the U.K. and Canada. However, customers in these regions should expect a 2-3 week shipping estimate or longer to get their hands on the stand. In addition to the stand, the Pro Display XDR itself is also facing a lengthy shipping delay in the U.S., with a late September delivery estimate currently provided by Apple.

Although there haven’t been any credible rumors about a new Pro Display XDR launching imminently, Apple has been known to work on multiple new monitors, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in December 2022. The Pro Display XDR, which is now nearly four years old, features a 32-inch screen with 6K resolution and starts at $4,999 without the Pro Stand. Customers are hoping that the next model will come with notable upgrades, such as a built-in webcam, speakers, and a higher refresh rate.

In March 2022, Apple released a more affordable Studio Display with a 27-inch screen and 5K resolution, which is still in stock on the company’s online store. This display offers a great alternative for those looking for a powerful and visually stunning monitor without breaking the bank.

While Apple announced an upcoming event on Tuesday, September 12, it’s more likely that Mac-related announcements will be made in October. At the September event, Apple is expected to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series, new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra models, and updated AirPods with a USB-C charging case.

So, if you’re in the market for an Apple Pro Display XDR with the Pro Stand, it may be worth keeping an eye out for any potential announcements and releases in the near future. In the meantime, you can still enjoy the remarkable visual experience offered by Apple’s current lineup of displays, including the Studio Display. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from Apple, as they continue to innovate and push the boundaries of technology.
